Jobs and services changes for residents

Residents seeking work in construction, maintenance and basic technical trades can now register at two new training sites planned near Borivali railway station and near Nancy Colony. The policy states that certified participants will receive priority consideration for municipal contract labour positions on local projects rather than outside contractors. Daily commuters on Link Road and S.V. Road stand to see targeted pothole repairs and drainage upgrades listed in the same document, with work scheduled to avoid peak festival periods.

Local advocates note that these training slots target adults aged 21 to 45 who hold at least secondary-school certificates, a group that makes up a large share of the ward's registered unemployed according to the corporation's 2025 labour survey.

Budget figures and timeline

The policy document records an allocation of 142 crore rupees for Borivali-specific components, of which 68 crore rupees are earmarked for the skill centres and associated equipment, while 74 crore rupees cover 11 road stretches identified in the ward engineer's report.
