A total of 54 buildings in the same ward have been declared dilapidated and dangerous under the C1 category. Of these, 33 have already been razed and three more are scheduled for demolition after Diwali.

In a recent operation in Mahavir Nagar spanning Borivali West and Kandivali, the BMC removed 25 illegal structures and 35 unauthorised stalls. Residents in the neighbourhood have noted the cleared spaces along local roads and footpaths as the civic body enforces regulations.

The BMC chief has set a monsoon deadline for completing the first phase of road development and rainwater drainage works near Borivali East railway station. These projects aim to reduce waterlogging that affects commuters and nearby households during the rains. Work continues under the established timeline with ongoing inspections.
